At the Merdare administrative point, the customs officers prevented an attempt to smuggle precious and semi-precious stones. The precious stones were discovered in a vehicle driving from the direction of the APKiM, a Volkswagen Passat  with Slovenian registration plates, driven by a Slovenian citizen aged 52.

In collaboration with the border police members, on July 3, 2012, at the border crossing Batrovci, the customs officers prevented three Afghan citizens to illegally cross the state border.

The Council of the World Customs Administration presented a special award to the Customs Administration of Serbia for its activities in domain of protection of intellectual property rights. The award was received by Director of the Customs Administration, Predrag Petronijević, at the 119th/120th session of the Council in Brussels.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Customs Administration of the Republic of Serbia and the General Directorate for Customs and Indirect Taxation of the Republic of France was signed on June 27, 2012, whereby was shown the mutual willingness for a closer cooperation between the two customs administrations and more efficient fight against violation of customs regulations.

On June 25, 2012 at the border crossing point Horgoš, the custom officers prevented an attempt to smuggle 29,000 Euros.

Today in the presence of the State Secretary Miodrag Djidić, Mayor of Kraljevo Ljubiša Simović, Director of the Customs Administration Predrag Petronijević and top management of the Kraljevo Customs Office, was held the opening ceremony of the customs complex Kovanluk in Kraljevo.

Using the mobile scanning device, at the border crossing Gradina, the customs officers prevented on June 15, 2012, an attempt of a Bulgarian citizen to smuggle 124 grams of amphetamine into the Republic of Serbia.

In collaboration with the border police, on June 15, 2012, the customs officers thwarted an attempt of a Turkish and a Bulgarian citizens to smuggle across the border crossing Gradina from the Republic of Serbia 150,000 Euros.

The delegation of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Serbia, headed by General Director Predrag Petronijević, visited Mostar in the period May 28-31, 2012, where, within the Export Control and Related Border Security Assistance Program  (EXBS) was held a meeting between three tax administrations – of the Republic of Croatia, Republic of Serbia, and BiH.

Owing to the state-of-the-art scanning device, at the border crossing Horgoš on  June 14, 2012, the customs officers prevented two foreign citizens to illegally cross the state border.
